Blind Turn
By Cara Sue Achterberg

Taut with tension, rich in wonderful depth.
What a surprisingly wonderful Top Read this book, Blind Turn, was for me in 2022.
Author Achterberg has written a story that’s taut with tension, rich in wonderful depths of inner dialogue, and an interplay between mother and daughter that rings so, so true.
I could see myself in the mother protagonist Liz; I could see my daughter in the daughter protagonist, Jess. Like a beautiful braid, the story weaves together several strong plot lines so that the reader is completely engrossed with curiosity and a compulsion to read forward. The characters’ life experiences and how they impact their choices are perfectly fitted to drive the actions they achingly make.
So much to admire about this story. Highly recommend it!
